haiga gallery

Poetry and art from the heart; with many thanks to the cultural delegation sent by Japan to Edinburgh one weekend at the Assembly Rooms on George Street - I wandered in with my daughter and we learned how to do Japanse paintings with beautiful paper on board speckled with glitter supplied to us by kind women who showed us how to dip our brushes in the black ink and gave us a red ink stamp to sign our work. That is where I first learned of haiga, and as I have always respected haiku, this now completes my enjoyment of the art.
